Controller on Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii Controller has Wiimote as primary controller and Nunchuck as secondary controller. For old games that  cannot use innovative Nintendo Controller Wiimote and Nunchuck, we could use Classic Controller. Let’s see how to use these controllers on Nintendo Wii:

1. Nintendo Wii Remote Controller

Wiimote is the primary controller for Nintendo console, which is the key to play Wii console. Wiimote can be used as a handheld pointing device and detect movement in three dimensions. The controller is like a stick that can be waved, poked, and jabbed at the screen to make your character move on the screen.

This controller using bluetooth technology.  A main feature of the Wii Remote is its motion sensing capability, which allows user to interact with others, manipulate items on screen via movement and pointing through the use of  technology.  It makes play games a whole new way and giving players a more “in game” feel.

Another feature is its expandability through the use of attachments. Wii Controller attachments are little snap or slide on pieces, usually made of plastic, that resemble objects used in the game you are playing. Through its optical sensor and accelerometer systems, the Wii Remote controller allows the game player to interact with the games being played on screen . These controller attachments include the Wii streering wheel, Wii Bat, Wii Fishing Rod and Wii Tennis Racket. If you are playing a driving game, the Wii Remote will act as the steering wheel, while in a tennis game it becomes a tennis racket. They can make many of the Wii games more fun and enjoyable to play and help perform the motion.

2. Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Controller

Wii Nunchuk controller is a secondary controller that makes Wii more innovative gaming  with less physical movement. Contoured to perfectly fit a player’s hand, the Nunchuk controller goes an extra step to meet the needs of gamers.

Used in conjunction with the standard Wii remote, certain games need the Nunchuk controller for additional control options. The Nunchuk contains the same three-axis motion sensor found in the Wii Remote, but also includes an analog stick, and two buttons to help assist in character movement.

The Nunchuk connects to the Wii Remote at its expansion port and is used in conjunction with the Wii Remote. Many games will allow you to control your character’s movement with the Nunchuk in your left hand, while your right hand is free to execute the action movements with the Wii Remote.

For examples, in first-person shooters, the Nunchuk controller carries the burden of movement, freeing you to aim and fire using a more natural motion with the Wii Remote. Serious gamers may even want to use two Nunchuk controllers to gain a fierce competitive edge.  Nunchuk is particularly useful for games like Wii Boxing.  You can use the Nunchuk to punch with your weaker hand, while you use the Wii remote to punch and jab with your predominant hand.

3. Nintendo Wii Classic Controller

Classic controller is suitable for the good old Nintendo games where you aren’t able to use the innovative Wii controller. The design is oval in shape and the buttons are shaped like a diamond. It has the usual D-Pad and a start and select button. The buttons included on the front are the good old A, B, X and Y buttons. It also include the four buttons across the top edge of the controller.

It has obviously been designed with maximum gaming comfort in mind. The controller buttons are rounded to be that much easier on the fingers. The left analogue stick on the classic controller is used to control the cursor when you are in the Wii’s channel menu. If you intend to play the classic Nintendo games from the Virtual Console, than this controller is a necessity. With Nintendo Wii classic controller you can play all of those classic games that are being made available for the Wii.
