Making a magic memory stick is a simple process and it hardly takes five minutes. You do not have to purchase a magic memory stick from any one. It can be easily made at home using a pro duo memory card.
In order to make a Magic Memory Stick for a PSP you will need the bare minimum things. Just gather around you the following, a memory stick pro duo, a PSP that can run home brew, a USB cable. Now turn your PC on. Download the Pandora file, (you will find the zipped file at rapidshare. It is called PandoraUniversalEasyInstaller.rar. Unzip it.
After that you do not have to do much but follow instructions. First you need to run the autorun file. The program makes life simpler by showing a pop-up window that keeps guiding you through each step. The first step of course is to connect your PSP using your USB cable. Once you have done that, you will need to follow the next step.
The pop-up window will ask you to select your PSP driver. Do that and then continue to the next step. The next step you need to take is to format the memory stick. I am assuming here that you have backed up all your files, because once you have formatted it, you will have lost all your data.
Turn your PSP off and then restart it. Once it restarts, you will find that all the data on your memory stick has been erased. All you need to do now is to press the enter button. The program will start writing all the files on the memory stick.
In case this does not work automatically, you can enter the PSP drive and run the Pandora file. Once the system has done copying the Pandora files, you can exit the pop up, and turn your PSP off. You have now made your memory stick.
For the second method you need the hack files, i.e. the official 4.01 firmware and the memory stick reader Rain MMS Maker v1.0.9. This is a far less confusing method. You can first download and extract all the hack files on your desktop of the computer. Insert your memory stick into the card reader of your PC. Open your MMS maker, in case of Vista right click and opt for “run as administrator”.
Just copy all the necessary files into your PSP drive. Once that is done, you need to click Make MMS and relax. Your computer will do this for you.
Your memory stick will not only work with your PSP but with all the other PSPs that can run home brew or other PSPs too. You will need to use it in conjunction with a pandora battery to unbrick your psp.
